Josely Carvalho

was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Early in her career, she became a master printmeker with a focus on silkscreen. More recently, she has expanded her art into digital prints, multimedia and Web presentations.

She is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, is represented in a long list of publications, has exhibited extensively in South America and the UNited States and is in many prestigious private and museum clooections.

Josely lives and works in New York City and Rio de Janeiro.
